This class series will focus on enhancing acrylic paintings by adding other media include newspaper clippings, books, images, fiber and other collected items. Students will work on wooden and canvas panels and learn the basics of creating a layered composition and techniques of applying various materials. Students will be asked to bring in items and ideas of their choice to tell a story with their work. This class series is open to those with some previous painting experience or who have taken Cathy’s Acrylic Essentials course. Classes will build on each other and it is hoped that students will attend all classes as we will work through the process of creating a finished piece(s) over the course of 4 weeks. Materials: Students will supply all materials including a sketch book and sketching tools, paint, brushes, pallet, cradled wooden panels. Cathy will provide some clippings and collected materials and share a materials list with enrolled students.
